An Evening With Bernadette PetersBernadette Peters - An Evening With Bernadette Peters (DVD PAL Zone 4 Australia)

A Truly Unforgettable Concert From A Unique Singer...A Performance To Be Treasured!

Broadway diva Bernadette Peters headlined the 2009 Adelaide Cabaret Festival and brought the crowd to their feet for three standing ovations.

Not only did she look sensational and ageless, her voice was in top form and gave those who came to see her an evening to remember.

From her opening number, Let Me Entertain You, Peters brought wit, emotion and her inimitable style to a range of musical numbers and pop classics. Highlights included a playfully sexy rendition of Fever from atop a grand piano, a heart-rending Rose's Turn (from Gypsy) and a performance of her self-penned charity single Kramers Song.

Featuring classics from Rodgers and Hammerstein and Stephen Sondheim, Bernadette Peters charmed her audience with her bubbly personality and hilarious banter which were overshadowed only by the rich textures of her magnificent voice.

Bernadette Peters came to Adelaide and shone brilliantly, backed superbly by the 28-piece Adelaide Art Orchestra.

"The audience were rapturous in their applause, all rising as one to salute one of the finest performers of our time." -
